Our extended family stayed at the Coastal Family Retreat for a week in June 2023. We had a fabulous time! The house is beautiful, clean, well-appointed and spacious. We had four families sharing the space and did not feel cramped at all. We spent a lot of time at the beach and the tide pools - fascinating! We spent a day in Santa Cruz at the wharf and the amusement park and one day was spent visiting San Francisco. Several member of our group went on a charter fishing expedition our of Half Moon Bay harbor and caught a lot of fish. We took the little kids on the Roaring Camp Railroad through the redwoods and they loved it. We loved the breakfast at Pilot Light Restaurant a few miles south on Highway 1 and the food at El Gran Amigo one block north. All in all, a wonderful family vacation in a lovely house on the magnificent California coast!

We had a family of 16 and this house was more than accommodating. We had an amazing time. The beds and bedding were unbelievably comfortable. Each bedroom upstairs has AC/cooling system . The down stairs bedroom/suite was awesome and stays cool all day. Also there is a playroom where the kids were hanging out while we were at home. The playroom downstairs kept all 8 of the kids very entertained. The house is very close to the beautiful Pinecrest lake with lots of activities for kids. There's snow play, tubing, the Dodge Ridge Ski resort and the lake is beautiful. For large groups who plan to cook/BBQ, the house is located in the area where outdoor BBQ is not allowed. We definitely had a family Christmas to remember! This stay was worth every penny!

Our stay was amazing from the start. This was a family vacation and we were able to spend quality family time while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. We love the Arnold area, local amenities, food and activities. The caverns and lakes are a must visit. The Knotty Pine Chalet is set up nice for our family needs. We appreciate how clean everything was and played non competitive pool and basketball. We were informed of everything and had no problem with access.Kids had a blast in the game room. Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories.

Absolutely loved my stay in Groveland for our family of 8! The host was incredibly friendly making the entire experience seamless. Convenient location and charming neighborhood added to the overall enjoyment. House was spacious and very thoughtfully decorated. We loved the game room. Kitchen was very big with all the utensils provided. Though due to cold weather, we couldn't enjoy the large patio, but definitely it would be nice to enjoy outside when the weather is mild. It was a short trip and I am very happy that I choose a place where all of us had a great time. The experience deserves 5 stars rating!!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The area itself was very quiet, and you can hear the ocean from the master bedroom. Love the high ceilings, the huge kitchen and the projector in the bedroom. Was super cold when we went to HMB and appreciated the efficient heaters in the place. It’s very easy to get to places, you just hop on Highway CA1. Space was very clean and the host was very welcoming.
